Oh, well I'm sure Oink wasn't the only place. The internet is limitless!

I never liked the idea of putting my IP out there and DL'ing things I had no idea about no matter what the file name said. My buddy solved that by buying loaded ipods. In 3 months he bought 4 sixty gig pods that were full to the brim and ripped them with SENUTI. Threw them on a big external HD and had 220 gig of music. Sold them all still loaded (and they went within minutes of listing them) for what he paid for them and was even steven with 220 gig of music to play with. Who the heck needs more than 220 gig of music? Not me..... not him Didn't spend a dime and didn't put his tracks out there.
Now he needs two 160gig ipod classics to hold his music. He has almost 80,000 songs at $1 each (itunes value) equals $80,000.00 in music he collected in 3 months and didn't spend a dime for it.
While I do not condone piracy in any way, I must give him credit for safely being creative in his efforts to acquire a plethora of music that'll last him forever without any risk involved in doing so.iMac 27" i5 quad 2.8Ghz (1TB), MacBook Pro 17" 2.6, iPhone 4s

it is very real, in the sense they got busted. I have been a member there for a long time. Anyone who was a member there has nothing to worry about. All they were after was the server OiNK was hosted on and the ehad admin. They dont have the resources nor the man power to go after everyone or even a fraction of everyone from OiNK. OiNK had over 100k members. VIPMusic is ok site now for music torrents, no where near OiNKs level but still a good alternative

They aren't going after 100k users, they are going after the TOP users. 100gig and more is the word, but could be more.
