Oh yay, he's doing all this work, he's doing it for free, he saves orphaned kittens, etc etc.
I acknowledge the work people put into coding this stuff, and I'm not trying to say devs don't do lots for us without much return.
BUT... I would rather he say "I have no idea when it's going to be ready, I don't want to release until I'm sure all the bugs are worked out", as an official announcement on the site, and then release it whenever he wants to. I'm just tired of hearing "it'll be out this weekend" and "he said in chat it would be out by midnight" and "he posted that he'll be done testing at 7:56pm, and the app will be posted exactly 14 seconds later", only for it not to be ready.
Writing code like this isn't easy. I get that. But he needs to stop posting deadlines for himself. Just take however long he needs to and make it work to his satisfaction, and THEN post the download and an announcement.
