The iPhone came out, and the touch screen on it was and still is truly revolutionary. Amazing. I for one did not think technology like this was available yet.

They say that it will be some 10,000 times faster than broadband cable internet. That is ridiculous. absurd. I can't imagine the speed.

Right now, seriously, i feel scared and angry.

I read somewhere that the harddrive is going to become obsolete, everything can be stored on "the grid" and accessed remotely from anywhere, everything could be monitored .... just imagine every GB of memory you own constantly being monitored...

the power of this would be unbelievable!!

I feel angry because technology like this is being developed to the point of testing in a couple months without hearing a thing about it, yet Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse make front page news daily.

Personal storage will never become obsolete. However, I can see it becoming less common, due to the insane d/l and u/l speeds, people could have their music streamed, their pictures remotely hosted (etc, etc..).

dude why would you want to store on the grid? If there is something like that, there will always be hackers to get in. It would be nice to have speeds 10000x faster though.

The majority of people just play the system, and if thats the way its going.....

As for hackers, the guys building this built the internet. Security was an add on for the Internet, the grid is going to be built as a secure network from the beginning, not to say hackers won't hack into it because u never know but they aren't

They have Fiber to the house now, but it's really expensive because they have to run the fiber optic cable from the mainline to your house

exactly what I thought but this is legit and this is happening. I am surprised there isn't more interest in this everywhere right now because this is truly going to change the world beyond belief
