WANT TO BUY: any mac laptop you think would be best

hi guys, im on a pc and i dont have a laptop. i have a little over 1000 dollars in my possession so i need to know what laptop would be best around there. ive heard a 13 inch mac book pro would be nice.. but theyre over 1000 bucks.

You can get a new Macbook for $1000. Thats a good start.

I prefer Macs, but they are alot more expensive than PC.....so depends on what your looking for, you can get a Win lappy easily under $1000.

im on the apple website now. whats the difference between a mac book and a mac book pro?

macs are awesome. I have a 17" MBP, my daughter has a 13" and she loves it. You can pick up a new one for about 1000 at mac mall.com. They don't charge tax. Also smalldog.com doesn't charge tax either.

You won't be sorry if you get a mac! They are great and be sure and buy an applecare warranty--Apple tech support is great.

Hi, You should get the old white Macbook with 1.83 ghz or 2.0 model for maybe 500 or less cuz you will need Office for Mac 2008 which will be compatible with mircosoft directly since your coming from PC. Save money on this journey. The new macs are sealed meaning no battery removal or hardrive upgrades and the older good condition models on ebay will save you money. Perwyn Macbook Pro 15 or 17" will costs less than 1000 or close
