Get your money's worth - stay on the dev program for ONE YEAR!
Hi guys,
if you guys are buying dev slots - consider this.
Do you wanna pay $6-10 just to be on the list for say another 1-2 months?? basically just to try the 3.0 betas??? What happens if apple comes up with new firmwares and new betas for the current iphones and the new iphones (which are to be introduced soon).
See the plan - and then more reasoning below
I have managed to get a guest account (paid for still) - that will give you the following:
THINK BEYOND the OS 3.0 Betas Program - $11
0.5) Firstly, A screenshot proof will be sent to you almost instantly with your confirmation - showing your name, device UDID on the developer's account and membership status.
1) UDID activation for all OS 3.0 betas - official links to the betas
2) ONE FULL YEAR (Well, till May 5, 2010) membership of as a team member of the developers account -BASICALLY, ANY IPHONE RELATED FIRMWARE/UPDATES COME OUT - YOU WILL HAVE ACCESS BEFORE THE GENERAL PUBLIC
3) DIRECT LINKS to reliable and self-tested download links - in most cases - direct Apple links
5) Help/support almost all day (except when I am sleeping - lol)
6) SELF-COMPILED .Pdf help files for almost any troubleshooting issues - beta expired, dfu mode trouble etc
7) Access to Apple iphone SDK and help files
and most importantly, the security that you're connected to the iphone's development core for a YEAR.
----------
There is going to be a NEW start to the scrambling for dev slots all over again once the new iphones come out - or new firmware for the current iphones is introduced. I spoke to my Sister XXXXXXXXXXXX - who is the XXXXX marketing analyst for Apple computers XXXXXXXX (yes, the love of technology is in the genes - lol) and she said that this cycle has been going on and on since the 1st Gen iphones and the firmwares......dev charge to get your udid add>>>> you get your UDID added - the final firmware releases......Dev. Delete your udid and then charge again to get your udid added for the new firmware.

Its $11 - one person - one year - all betas - developer tools that comes in the meantime - you'll have access.\
Proof: Screenshot confirmation
Plus: developer's portal access POST 3.0 release - as this account is monitored by my sister......am not too worried about handing out passwords etc - even if someone changes it - she can reset it rightaway as she has the access from apple'S side. IT'S something i will have to trust the people with

by the way - I have got quite a lot of yearly enrollments so far and that's great. That's why i dont get why anybody would wanna throw money away for something that's shortlived
PLEASE, think about paying $5-6 for a 3.0 dev slot - get a FULL YEAR membership for slightly higher - better than just living the beta dream for the 3.0 - get updates for ONE YEAR.
You will get a developer account screenshot with your account details

So basically they can try the next beta for 2 months and when your account expires, they are SOL since typical apple releases are in mid June? Brilliant!2) ONE FULL YEAR (Well, till May 5, 2010) membership of as a team member of the developers account -BASICALLY, ANY IPHONE RELATED FIRMWARE/UPDATES COME OUT - YOU WILL HAVE ACCESS BEFORE THE GENERAL PUBLIC
Stop trying to make a business out of dev accounts.

arguement?
Hi - this is an argument I recently had with one of the senior Apple developer recently. Fortunately, he saw the point. See all posts in this thread by nitosoft and inshadesofgrey.
Get your device (UUID) registered for 3.0 activation - Hackint0sh
Basically, if this wasn't done - the general public will have NO WAY to try any betas or any latest firmware without paying big $$ to Apple.
SO take your pick.
and by the way- Apple has released new software in the summer most of the time - but that is no longer so - the release of the new iphones + other products is changing that. Apple is planning multiple software changes end of this year Q1 2010 - you'll head more about them soon - watch this space

Stay on the dev program until... this guy gets bored / gets a job / gets a boyfriend / moves house / can't be assed with it anymore.
Sounds a win-win-win situation to meTo live, you have to lie

well.
this guy
DOESN'T get bored with TECHNOLOGY, EVER! /
HAS a job
HAS a GIRLfriend
moves house -?
I dont know why people talk in riddles. You have something to say - say it.
To everyone else-
People who have the dev accounts - can easily say 'ah this idiot is selling dev spots'
people who DONT have dev spots WANT TO TRY the betas.....
If you're not gonna help them try the betas - i will.
so----ssshhhhhhhh

Thread Moved to B|S|T
You have 34 posts and everyone of them pertains to you trying to sell dev spots. It is not the fact that you sell spots, in fact I don't mind it at all. For instance boxxa has been providing spots to this community for awhile now, but he is always eager to help out people looking for assistance. As a developer your income should come from developing apps for the iphone not peddling dev spots.
But if you must continue with this. I am moving it to the Buy|Sell|Trade area.Last edited by StealthBravo; 05-11-2009 at 02:02 PM.

this is not primary the source of my income - ofcourse not.
a lot of the support I provide to the people is via emails and self-created pdf files for:
- upgrading to the 3.0 safely
- stuck with the pink screen?
- dfu mode?
and so on and so forth.......if you'll the comments of a lot of the forum members, I provide them help whether they are taking a spot or not.......
its just that i started actively following the forums NOW - during the 3.0 craziness........
Though I understand your point, just because the first 34 posts have been on a certain topic, doesnt mean the next 34 posts will talk about the same thing.
it's the timing NOT the intention.Last edited by inshadesofgrey; 05-11-2009 at 02:04 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I hope not. I am sure you could help provide support in other areas of the forum. I saw that you registered awhile back otherwise I would of flagged it for spamming. Didn't mean to be harsh. You could sell a lot more by helping out in other threads and just placing a link to here in your signature.
