What is this powerbook worth?

Someone I know is selling it and I am interisted just to dip into apple computers to see if I can get away from windows.

Powerbook G4 12'' with 10.5.4 on it..
it does have the wifi, bluetooth, dvd-rw, cd-rw, ilife 08 etc

Your gonna have to have more specs then that... processor speed, ram, HD size....I always look at ebay to see what things are going for.... just to give me an idea......So for example.....My Nissan titan on NADA is Private party value of 18,000.... but On cars .com the same truck with the same miles is going for 13,000.....Its all about market value, supply and demand.....With a little research you should be able to figure it really easily.

it's worth very little! you can't do iPhone development on a g4 (or g5).

I have sent him an e-mail about more specs and am waiting for a reply, but with apple a lot of the specs I thought were going to be close enough to give an estimate. I mean I don't even know the generation of apple products to know an estimated value.

maybe more than 379... but it still doesn't have intel inside! there's a lot it can't do.

I googled it and found one for sale at 800+

I gave away my old g4 laptop.

Put a little more to your 600 he was asking and wait till a good deal comes and walk away with an Intel based mac.... They rule the world.... Literally nothing you cant do when you have the power to Mac and PC and upgrade non-proprietary components, Also think of this.... How much is an Older Mac Proprietary part going to run you versus spending the cash up front to get a machine you can run to Best Buy at 10 pm on Friday night and get a replacement part for? That My friend is an excellent question! Intel Based Macs are shizzle......BTW Fleabay they are between 250 and 350$
