I'd rather answer here incase anyone else is not aware of the way mac operates.
"what year" - MAC is very specific about their production. If it is a 700 mhz book it can only be one year. http://www.everymac.com/systems/appl...ibook_700.html
"More pics of scratches?" - No. That's the point of the MAC ibook design and why I said it's hard to tell them on a mac. It's painted on the inside, not the outside. The outside is clear plexi so scratches are nearly impossible to photo. Hold it sideways against the light like looking down the side of a car, and they'll be there. This is not a "silk sleeve" and waxed on weekends type of ibook. They were designed to be tough and be used. The good thing about plexi is that it can be buffed if you're one of those mac waxers
