    Default IPhone4 y can't I customize text tones
    Y can't I set a customize ringtone for my text and email alerts but I can for my ringtones first time iPhone owner need a legit way to do it WITHOUT JAIL BREAKING MY PHONE

    You can. It's all in Settings.app Just go under 'Mail' and 'Messages' and adjust you're settings to what you would like.

    I have custom ringtones but I can only set them for when ppl call only tones I have for text and voicemail are the ones the phone came with I go into settings sounds text it don't even show them if I go to ring it shows my custome ringtones I sent to iTunes the synced to my phone

    Well.... If you can't fix it I recommend you do a backup of your iPhone's data and than a restore. That should hopefully fix the problem.

    I called apple they said unless I jail break it I can't customize it like an android to play a whole song

    Oh now I see what you mean... Yes that's only possible if you jailbreak. There is no legit way to do it.

    I believe you have to be on iOS 5.0 to set custom tones for mail, texts, etc. the legit way you do with ringtones. You're limited to 25-30 sec. like you would a ringtone for a phone call. Anything beyond that and you will have to jailbreak and ssh the tones in yourself to the appropriate section.

    Tones are only for when you receive notifications (texts, mail, tweets, etc.) again you will have to jailbreak to set sounds for sending your notifications.
