ATT Dropped iPhone 3G and Data Plan from my account
On Tuesday, I noticed I wasn't getting access to 3G or Edge, so I called up ATT. They said my iPhone 3G and data plan was dropped/no longer on my account. Since then, they haven't been able to add my iPhone 3G, Data Plan, and Text Plan back on to my account.
Anyone have this happen to them?

that's messed up... i don't see why they can't just put it back on... it's there fault not yours... i copied this straight from AT&T's Ts & Cs
Data Plans: An eligible data plan for iPhone is required. This data plan covers data usage in the U.S. and does not cover international data usage and charges. not a single person i talk to over customer server or a retail location can add my phone and data/text plan back to my account.
I'm still under the 14 day return period. I'm going to try to return the phone to apple store, where i bought it. then repurchase it and have them add the features and activate as if i bought it brand new.

yea i don't understand it either... they should be able to add it no problem... have you tried managing your account online Wireless, DSL Internet, satellite TV Services and Phone | AT&T and adding the feature?
i would go back into the store and be like WTF.... but on a good note atleast your not getting any kinda data charges for not having a data plan (hopefully) cuz from what i hear is that data is being transferred even if your not on safari...
also is your visual voice mail working cuz i think that's data related
yup just go back to apple return and get a new one... it might just be the phone ????? i know at one point i couldn't access the internet either safari kept saying "internet server not found" even though i was connected to 3G and i also tried EDGE with no success... did the usual trouble shooting like rebooting/restarting/respring phone and it still didn't work... was only out for about 10minutes though... damn i just lost it (end rant) but in your case the data plan doesn't even show up on your account

nope to the visual voice mail. when i call the voicemail system, it says my phone number does not exist on the voicemail system and that i dont have a voice mail box.
i dont get the E or 3G in the taskbar, so i have no access to internet. i should be able to receive texts, but nothing gets received.
apple store it is tomorrow. have apple resend the relevant iphone data and features to my account again in hopes of it showing up on my account.
so i went into apple today... pretty much did an exchange, returned the previous phone and got a new one. apple went through all the steps of adding a iphone 3g to my att account and it worked. the phone, data plan, and text messaging was added, which att couldn't do themselves manually.

that was one weird problem... must of been the phone... glad you got it worked out
