New Apple TV user with a question!
I am buying an ATV this afternoon and have a question about the device because I am unfamiliar with all the capabilities. I have read up on it but am having trouble finding an answer. I watch a lot of shows streaming on fox.com on my MacBook Pro; is there a native or jailbroken way to use my ATV to watch them on my TV via ATV wirelessly? Thanks MMi community!

I'm looking at FireCore. Will the web browsing work for streaming from Fox.com?

I don't think so. You can't do much with the apple tv. I'm holding off tell next year. Apple might becoming out with a TV. Not just something that plugs into a tv.

Are you familiar with FireCore? I THINK it may be able to offer what I am looking for because it has a web browser feature. I imagine I would just navigate to fox.com?? I did email them with my inquiry, but they haven't responded.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that it probably wouldn't work as fox.com uses flash not HTML5 for it's video playback and there isn't a flash port to iOS since frash died a few iOS versions ago. Now I could be mistaken as I am new to all of this as well!

I am going to get one anyway with the hopes of "FireCore aTV Flash" doing what I want it to do. I would always be fine with aTV's native uses anyway.

12-07-2011, 10:33 AM #7If you jailbreak the device you can install XBMC with the IceFilms.info addon and you will be able to stream shows and movies. This is partially what you are trying to achieve in a round about way.
