IRC client with persistent connection?

Hi folks,

I need an IRC client that allows me to maintain a persistent connection while in the background. Limechat is great, but apple forces its connection to time out after sitting in the background for 10 minutes.

I'm JB'n - perhaps there some hack to allow the persistent connection? Or a cydia-based app?

The other option would be something like Trillian that actually maintains your connections on its servers and can push updates to you as desired. Just tht Trillian for iOS doesn't support IRC...

Any thoughts very welcome! Thanks.

Nothing for this. I've searched everywhere for something like this as well but it just doesn't exist. Sorry
