I guess XCON ALIAS has never worked. I am forced to update as well by the DirectTV App.
I even updated the itemID to 1 and it stopped showing the update in App Store, I did this using iFile and browsing to the Directv folder.
But, today when I started the app it is asking me to update .. Therefore DirecTV Is broken again.

I wonder if there is any way to increase the version number under applications/directv/iTunesMetadata.plist file so that we increase the version number to 1.8.0 for example and trick the automatic update.

You won't be able to change the metadata. They actually change the server urls on each version now so that they can just turn it off. Which is why 1.6.6 won't work anymore.

New directv update and I'm not able to view b/c it has detected a jail broken device, I uninstalled and re-installed xcon... help, away from home on military trip and need my app. Btw, first time post and newbie to site, so if I put in wrong spot, please don't over scold me

How about DirecTV for iPhone 2.2 ? Yup the iPhone version now does a jailbreak check. Can't even schedule the DVR now thanks to those pricks at DirecTV.

There's a whole slew of corporate MDM (Mobile Device Management) out there now besides Good for Enterprise. Jailbreak detection is going to be an ongoing problem or anyone with corporate MDM requirements. Our company is looking to roll out MDM soon. Not sure what vendor, but options are Maas360, MobileIron, AirWatch, Zenprise, Good Enterprise and more. IT firms are aggressively pushing for mobile device management and at a rate these various solutions are developed and updated, we have to find a better, global way to patch these apps and prevent them from reporting the device as jailbroken.

OK my present state of affairs is that I have Skygo working but no Anytime. I just get a black screen.

First off has anyone succeeded in getting Anytime to work?

I'm using the moded ipa from n00neimp0rtant. Do I still need to edit some of the info.plist entries?

In particular the CFBundleShortVersionString as downloaded is displaying 2.3. Does it need changing?

Also the SA_CONFIG_URL does that need editing too? What should it be?
