DirecTV Nomad Jailbreak detection
Seems like this app is suffering from similar protection schemes as Optimum and Fios on Demand. Anyone found a way to get the Directv nomad app working on a jailbroken device?

I would also like to know this as well.
Would simply modifying the patch employed for TWC and Optimum correct this?
I'm surprised HBO GO didn't include Jailbreak detection in it's last update. Seems these video apps are starting to get on the ball. What's next? Every single app known to man? The entire IOS itself? Imagine one day turning it on and it says "Jailbroken device detected, please connect to iTunes and restore" and then you have no choice but to restore!
We need to nip this one in the bud before it becomes a bigger problem. Perhaps a global Anti-Jailbreak detection patch in Cydia we could install to fix this for everything.

I don't understand it. How is someone pirating or abusing the material on a jailbroken device. You still have to have an account with that company. The same goes for their wi-fi hotspots that the cable companies around town. You still have to have an account to access it as well. I can't get free Netflix, but I'm a subscriber and have to pay for access. Will Netflix be the next one who bars a JB phone?

The reason they're doing this with the Optimum app is so you can't patch it to play live tv outside your home, i'm sure it's the same situation with TWC and DirectTV, just rename Cydia using iFile to something like Cydia1 or NotCydia. They're just looking for Cydia.

xCon is also a great patcher. Works on many apps that detect jailbreak. It's free from the Cydia store.
