HELP....Cannot open App Store or I Tunes

I cannot open App Store or I tunes....even when I try to sync with I Tunes on laptop I cannot and get a message stating something about the "sync server" it stops when It gets to contacts...I do not know if all of these are related but I cannot imagine they are not....has anyone ever seen this?

It doesn't look good. Try reinstalling iTunes. That may help.
