Last night I did a Cydia restore using AptBackup from BigBoss and most of my apps from the iTunes store were removed from my phone but they are still in iTunes. I would like to restore all the app’s that I had yesterday; I would like to have them in the same location and groups that they were in when yesterday’s iTunes sync was performed.
My iPhone 3G is jailbroken and running ios 4.2.1 and unlocked using ultrasn0w so I don’t want to mess that up. Is what I would like to do possible? If so can someone tell me how?
I had the same problem and fixed the disappearing iTunes app issue by restoring from a back again after running AptBackup. Then all my Cydia apps and iTunes apps are showing up. Then I reinstalled Overboard and all my apps were then put back in place just like it was before I upgraded the firmware.
I meant to say restoring from a backup again.

I don't want to have to rejailbreak the phone so I don't want to restore the ios just the apps. When I did the restore using AptBackup it removed 90% of the apps I loaded from the iTunes store. The apps were still in my iTunes but they were removed from the phone.
I am just trying to see if I can restore the apps, along with there user names and passwords, to the phone without having to restore the ios. If I have to regroup then that's ok.
What's Overboard?
Apple has installed softwares which is not being support to update,
Gevey sims are available which is being used to unlock it...
Try to restoreit from the general settings,
So, based on what I have seen so far the safest and best approach is to reload the apps from my iTunes account and regroup them. Doing a any type of Apple restore would mess up my jailbrake and unlock.
