Looking for feedback from users within the US of the Google Voice Mobile app. When you've had access to a wifi and used it has the reception been good and is it a viable cheaper option than LD tolls outside of the area you're calling from?

I'm considering using it when traveling in the states (from Canada) this summer as opposed to getting a prepaid cell from tmobile etc.
