How do I run Skype on a jailbroken iPod/iPhone?
Okay so I have a iPod touch 4th gen jailbroken running 4.1, and I have Skype installed the reason I post this is because everytime I click Skype it says "This version of Skype is only supported on unmodified iPhone OS 3.0x, 3.1x, and 3.2x." Alot of people been getting around this but for me I can't used the new facetime feature they added to Skype it won't let me call or doesn't even have the video icon on my contact, it bothers me. I am running the latest version which is 3.0. I KNOW it doesn't work on jailbroken iPods or iPhone but people found a way to get around how do I do this?

I believe so the apps update is for 4.2.1 and the app store wont let you update it to get all the new features till 4.2.1

Dunno. On my jailbroken iPhone 3gs 4.2.1 I can see the video icons in skype.Don't know where you got that skype doesn't work on jailbroken devices.Maybe its really because of your firmware.Guess your only option is to upgrade to 4.2.1 if you want video calling in skype, but then there's the tethering issue.

Hello. I have a jailbroken iPt4g (iPod touch 4G) running on iOS4.1, and have Skype. Yes, I got that message too. Skype previously had a API in it that detected when it was jailbroken, and when it was, it would not allow you to do anything, but Apple recently suspiciously removed/blocked that feature.
