Data usage apps?
I have an iPod touch JB 4.1 and was wondering how much data I use. I text on my iPod, surf the Internet, facebook, etc... And I wanted to see how much data I was using. I want to know so when I get an unlocked iPhone I know what plan will be suit me(:
Cheers

Thanks! Apparently according to that(I took averages in a spreadsheet etc) I use about 14Gb of data a month. Does this sound right?

I use "Data Counter" from the BigBoss Repo in cydia. It can display the current usage as a badge and display your data usage in a graph form. I like it better than the other apps available from the appstore because it runs in the background as you start your device, doesn't require your location to be toggled on (less resources being used) and has a handfull of configurable options.

If you have sbSettings, there is a data toggle now. Works pretty fast and easy.

Ah right. Still a lot though. But doesn't matter as you don't have a wifi limit.

I don't need constant updates so when I want to check, I just go to the Phone app and dial #3282* (#DATA*) and AT&T sends me a free text containing my current monthly text and data usage. Fairly handy.
EDIT: didn't read that you're on an iPod touch so the above tip probably doesn't apply. Sorry about that. One of the Cydia packages mentioned above would probably be best.
