Lost Angry Birds Save Data

Hi, I recently received a replacement iPhone 4 and the back up from my old handset did not work for some strange reason.

I've still got all my apps and contacts BUT I've lost my saved game (all levels completed on 3 stars, sad I know).

My girlfriend also has angry birds and her saved game is similar to mine, is there any way I can copy her save file from her iPhone 3G to my iPhone 4?

You can use something like juicephone or iphone backup extractor to get the save file and then manually put them back in with either SSH or a usb file explorer like ifunbox or diskaid.

I have only used juicephone which is pretty easy to use. Cant help if you are on windows as I have never used that one.

You can also SSH to her phone and go to: private/var/mobile/Applications/(Angry Birds map)/Documents and then copy highscores.lua to the same folder of your device.

PS: Could you please upload the file also because I lost it and I had also have 3 stars at every level, but I can't recover it.

I will happily upload it but it won't be for a dew days, due to the fact that my iPhone 4 isn't jailbroken... As and when I can jailbreak I will get it uploaded asap!

This is good news. I wanted to do a restore just to clean up my phone but didn't do it cause of angry birds. Now I can. Can any one confirm that putting the file back after a restore will put back the score's ?

I have done it a few times and shared my 3 star on every level from my iphone to my ipod touch.

To fix this for when u update or restore next time go get aptbackup and appbackup in cydia they are free and will hold cydia downloads and game backups upping backing-up in iTunes, a huge blessing cause Apple actually disabled this feature awhile back cause backups were taking a long time

I guess your file "highscores.lua" is not writable/owned by the mobile User. Please verfify via ssh (as root):

find /var/mobile/Applications -name highscores.lua -ls

that its owned by mobile:mobile with -rw-r--r-- access.

To fix this execute:

find /var/mobile/Applications -name highscores.lua -exec chown mobile:mobile {} \;
find /var/mobile/Applications -name highscores.lua -exec chmod 644 {} \;

I hope you have "findutils" installed via Cydia

I too have this problem. I don't quite follow exactly what i need to do... Sorry for my stupidity, but this is a bit new to me! Please could you explain again in as simple terms as possible?

I can locate the file but i need to know how to change it accordingly

I solved my problem. I hope it helps u all. I uninstalled a/birds and reinstalled than I played 1 game and got a high score than I used ifunbox to view the raw files. I than used ifunbox to copy the file from pc to phone and it over wrote everything. And all was fine.

i would skip aptbackup (because you must restore from backup to use this which when mixed with jailbreak causes more issues)
I use pkgbackup to save a listing of all my jailbroken apps (cydia apps)

I've been using appbackup for like 2 years now (since iphone 3g) and I love it. It saves all my data from appstore apps. I don't us the All button I backup each app one by one. Some take a minutes most like 5 seconds.
