GPS Tracking

Is there any [free] app, or method of tracking an iPhone's location every few hours?

Considering iOS4 allows apps to run in the background, an app should be able to record your GPS location / coordinates at a given interval & upload them to a server where they get saved so if for instance you lose your iPhone you can go online & locate where it is.

Make any sense? Was looking for any possible solutions of this sort? Besides MobileMe of course.
Even if they cost $$ it might actually be worth it because my brother has a knack to lose his things.

There's an App called DiskAgent that says it will do this although I haven't tried it.

Hmm.. Looks interesting, although it requires you to be jailbroken so a little limited.

At this point I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't JB their phone..
