Default Deleting apps midway through downloading

As the title suggests is there a way to do this?

I have GTA:CTW paused because I don't want to download it anymore but when I go to delete it and the apps start wiggling there is no X on the app for me to delete it.

Do i have to finish the download for me to delete it or is there another way?

    Anyone?

Don't think so. Think you will have to just let it finish.

Seems like in the time you took to type this post up you could have let it finish downloading and delete it lol.
Have they released the jailbreak in the app store yet?

Last month a friend had 34 apps to update. He selected update all. After 2 hours only about half were finished.

He rebooted his phone which stopped the update process ... and ... he was able to delete the unwanted apps.

Not something I would recommend, but it worked for him.

Using the update on the phone seems to take a lot longer. I always just update through iTunes.

Agreed. However there is a downside.

iTunes will accept all updates, even those that will not install on the iPhone. The reverse is not true.

If you have not updated to 4.0 and value your working apps, update using the iPhone - NOT iTunes.
