How do you discover new apps?

I am curious to see how you guys find new apps? Do you find new apps based on necessity or do you peruse the "featured" apps occasionally to see what gems might have appeared? Any other ways?

I am new to iPhone so I find apps out of necessity but I also browse the categories and select what looks interesting and download what has good reviews

I mostly found my apps by watching FreeAppADay or TouchArcade but for apps like Accounts and Ace Budget I found those out of necessity as I wanted to throw away my reconcile book and use my iPhone instead and I can tell you it is much better and you can keep track of how you spend.

Other apps I found from something I wanted to play or use.
