Nato Armies (Ranks and Insignia)-iPhone application

I am posting here to inform you about the application Nato Armies (Ranks and Insignia) that was published on iTunes some months ago.

Nato Armies (Ranks & Insignia) is a “reference” application for displaying information about the armies of the 28 NATO member countries as well as information about the ranks and insignia images for them.



The application consists of three tabs:

- Country Military Info

- Ranks and Insignia

- Settings


Country Military Info
Information about armies includes military name (both in english and local language), foundation year and headquarters. Moreover, user can navigate in possible military branches that exist within the country, such as army, air forces or navy. Emblems, roundels, (war) flags, ensigns and jacks are displayed in the military branch view.

Ranks and Insignia

While in the Ranks & Insignia View, the user can navigate in a 2D array where rows are countries and columns are the rank levels. Tap to left or right to change level or tap to top or bottom to change country. In this way, navigation within ranks and countries can be done in a snap.

Settings

The following settings can be applied to the application:

- The country the “Ranks and Insignia” tab starts with

- Weather or not “Warrant Officers” are visible in the “Ranks and Insignia” tab

- The countries that appear in the “Ranks and Insignia” tab

sorry if i sound kind of rude but....

Is this app really even worth a paid app status lol?

I mean most of this stuff you could probably google/wiki. And judging from the few reviews, it looks like the info you portray is very limited and navigation isnt the best either.

And im not sure on forum rules and procedures or anything, but seeing as you only have 1 post(this one) and are doing nothing but advertising an app that has came out and not even updated in over 1/2 a year ago; i would consider this spam -.-

Well i dont think this is a website to come and create accounts for advertising. And seeing as how he hasnt even replied, he just created account for promotion.

And its not even like its a new release or a new update. It hasnt been updated since july 09.

Which i have no repect for.

Sorry for not answering to your replies... I was out on a journey and just came back.

Well... actually it is not a spam... however I posted for promotional reasons!

It's one of my first iPhone apps, I developed it last summer, as some of you mention... but I din't have the chance to promote it, and now, I gathered some forums to post.
If this is bad... then I ask from a moderator to remove it!

Indeed, this application provides informations than you can easily find in wikipedia... like other 20% of iPhone apps. Maybe, browsing is not good as you mention... I accept it and I apologize since it's one of my first iPhone apps.

I haven't updated it, since downloads where much less than I expected. But currently, I am collecting information to add air force ranks and insignia.
Check my other apps and see how many updates I have made.

I am working in outsourcing as well, apart from my full time job... what else can I do! Wish I had 10 hands!
