How to save game progress on Apps before update/restore

I didn't mean 'cracked', I am wondering if it is possible to save progress on games you purchased so that after an update you can continue?

In regular apps, it save progress. Therefore, you must be asking about cracked apps.

I don't think that is necessarily true. Every time that I update "let's golf" I lose all my saved games.

SSH your device and find the App Store Applications in /var/mobile/Applications/. Then go look in your applications and pull out the saved data to your PC or Mac.

Hey Aewsomeipod I was gonna restore and I saw this post so I want to know type/formate of that file?
because when you'll SSH and go into any application you'll find a lot of files of different formates...and I can't find that file which contains the saving data progress of any application

I believe its usually in the documents folder, but there is a program from cydia called appbackup that makes this easier. I have never used it though so wait for advice from other people on how it works.
