Default Does textfree unlimited with "notifications on" kill battery

So just got textfree unlimited and noticed my battery seems to be dropping really fast. Does this app with notifications on use something like push and drain your battery faster?

Having notifications will use a bit more battery but it's not anything drastic. And it doesn't matter what apps is using "push". Once enabled, you'll have a constant connection to Apple's push servers and all push applications on your phone will go through it.

I'm a helpful jerk, fear me.

I believe I had a similar problem with TextFree under iOS 4.3.1. My Usage was 100% of my Standby time (under Settings/General/Usage). I upgraded to iOS 4.3.2 and it seems to have corrected the problem. Now, after using TextFree, the Standby time increases without the Usage time increasing.

Never had a problem with textfree like that. Not sure if it has anything to do with push.
