Apps won't open

Almost all of the games I downloaded (and some paid for) won't open ... I'll click them, they open for half a second and then close again. I don't know what to do!

Also, side question ... is there a crack to get app store games free?

First of all besides being illegal, this forum does not support or discuss cracked apps. You may want to read the forum rules to avoid problems.

About your problem, if you have SBSettings installed, yo can go into more/mobile substrate and turn apps off and see which one may be causing the problem, or restore and re-jailbreak your phone and start fresh.

Is there a way I can re-install 3.0? I stupidly accepted the update to 3.0.1 and it ruined a lot of stuff ... I miss it :/

You should be fine with 3.0.1 What do you mean it ruined stuff? Did you sync from a back up?

It ruined Cydia and all that stuff I downloaded from it.

The only differences in the 2 F/W's is a fix for SMS, perhaps you should restore and try again.

download the 3.0 firmware from here and when u go into itunes hit shift and update then pick the file u wanna downgrade it and then rejailbreak

You NEVER use the update button on a jailbroken phone. You ALWAYS restore to a new firmware. You will need to plug into iTunes.. restore to 3.0.1 and then use redsn0w to jailbreak (using the 3.0 firmware). When iTunes asks you will set the phone up as NEW.

Son of a **** mcmuffin ... so I restore my phone to 3.0.1 (which it already is) and then install 3.0 software and it will work? Sounds kinda awkward

You didn't read correctly. Restore to 3.0.1 and then open redsn0w 0.8. It will ask you to point to your current firmware. This is where you chose 3.0 b/c it's not updated for 3.0.1 as of yet. It just used core system files for the jailbreak process.

Ohh... I'm not too familiar with redsn0w, used purplera1n last time... is there a link to where i can get redsnow? And is it as simple as Cydia?

ive tried all of these things and they worked for the first day, but when i installed another app (monopoly) the other apps will only open for a sec then crash. But the funny thing is , is that the momopoly still opened and worked fine.i have restore my phone twice and re jailbroke it and it happened again.Could it be that its not working cuz i have a 2G iphone? Thanks for any help on this one!
