Downloading Apps

I used to have to enter password every time I would download an app. Now if I select install it downloads without me entering password. I want to go back to the enter password method to avoid accidentally purchasing apps. I have searched and can't find the answer. Thanks in advance.

It only won't ask you for the password again if you are downloading several apps in succesion. If you run a different app then go back to App Store it will ask you for a password again to purchase anything.

Thanks I was driving myself nuts trying to figure this simple little thing out. Works just as you described. I was downloading several apps. I ran a different app and all is back to normal.

I never used to download many apps at a time but one time it happened with me too. So I thought it was some sort of error. Thanks a lot for the detail.
