Sign out of iTunes

Is it possible to sign out of iTunes on a OS 2.0 or 2.1 (unsure which version my friend's iPhone is but I'm very sure it isn't 2.2 or 2.2.1)? I signed in using my account to help him dl a free app.

And I couldn't find the sign out button. Searched around to find that the new OS 3.0 actually supports switching between multiple accounts for the Apps store/iTunes store. But I'm just wondering if there's a way around for the version 2.0 or 2.1s.

just sign back in with his account info, yours will be gone

Problem is I couldn't find where to sign in on the iPhone. Lol after the first time they asked to sign in, I signed in mine. Then I couldn't find my way to sign out already. ):

yeah, their is no sign out option. Maybe restart the iphone and then go back to the appstore and try to download an app then it should ask you for your password. At this point change the username from yours to his
