Who cares if the timer on there site is fake. Makes it more interesting instead of everyone watching it trying to snipe that billionth spot.

Its not the billionth downloader that will win it's any one who downloads an app, free or paid until the billionth has been downloaded. This is different from previous Apple countdown contests.
