Ok so I've downloaded this from the app store.
it's hell buggy, has crashed every time i've tried to open it,
stays open for 30 seconds then crashes, can't enter my username or password
i've reinstalled it several times, restarted my phone and no luck, super annoying

I was on wifi.
What part of the world are you in?
I was trying to keep the program open so if someone else called but it won't stay open pass 2-3 minutes

2g or 3g? Do you have any torrents running on your computer? Are you using wifi?
I'll leave mine open as well

Its a 3g. No torrents going right now. I am going to try switching some stuff off. Just finished resetting my phone. The program crashes after 2 minutes
EDIT: turned off wifi and it still crashes on 3g. I did make a couple of calls on the 3g network and it sounds good!
EDIT 2: In safe mode the app doesn't crash at all. Been up and running for 10 minutes. I think skype is just a memory hog.

Just wondering how you are getting it to call out over 3G to begin with...Thanks.

Its an OK program. Really loses its functionality that a) doesn't stay running all the time without backgrounder and b) can't make calls over 3G but it gets the job done.
If you are having problems, try to remove mobile substrate.

Im having the same problem as the person who made this thread. It will show the skype logo, then go back to my springboard.

Crash after crash after crash..... 30 seconds it works for. I was sooooo looking forward to this. Unlocked iPhone no clippy installed

If it is crashing on you then upgrade mobilesub in cydia. To get it to work over 3g, there is a program in cydia that tricks apps into thinking they are on wifi

Since the mobilesub upgrade this morning the voipover3g isn't working. Should soon once jay fixes it

Day 1: Skype released: Crashed upon opening and pressing any field.
Day 1.5: Jay releases new mobile substrate which locked up voipoverip3g but I could at least log in
Day 2: Jay releases new version of mobile substrate but now it is back to what happened initially and it Crashes upon opening and pressing any field.
Day 3: This morning an upgraded voippverip3g package is ready and so I :
1. uninstalled skype
2. downloaded new VoiPoverip3g
3. reinstalled newest mobile substrate
4. Turned off Clippy in SBS .
Let's see if it works.....
nope. still crashes upon opening and clicking on a field.
Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.
