Skype Thread

Ok so I've downloaded this from the app store.
it's hell buggy, has crashed every time i've tried to open it,
stays open for 30 seconds then crashes, can't enter my username or password

i've reinstalled it several times, restarted my phone and no luck, super annoying

any suggestions?/

What part of the world are you in?

I was trying to keep the program open so if someone else called but it won't stay open pass 2-3 minutes

Mine is not crashing. I'm on 2.2

2g or 3g? Do you have any torrents running on your computer? Are you using wifi?

I'll leave mine open as well

Its a 3g. No torrents going right now. I am going to try switching some stuff off. Just finished resetting my phone. The program crashes after 2 minutes

EDIT: turned off wifi and it still crashes on 3g. I did make a couple of calls on the 3g network and it sounds good!

EDIT 2: In safe mode the app doesn't crash at all. Been up and running for 10 minutes. I think skype is just a memory hog.

Its an OK program. Really loses its functionality that a) doesn't stay running all the time without backgrounder and b) can't make calls over 3G but it gets the job done.

If you are having problems, try to remove mobile substrate.
