Would apple allow it?
Hypothetically if I was able to create an espn sports ticker for the iPhone would apple pass it for the store or would I need to release it via cydia.

You probably would be able to put it on the App Store. They only take off apps that have the same functionality that the iPhone currently has.

im not sure why exactly its not like theyre competing with them you already bought the fone diddnt you?

A ticker would be cool but it would have to run in background.

hmm why wouldnt they allow it? I dont see why both the iphone and ipod touch can't have it....
