Exclamation Appstore apps crash - newb
I am a new jail broken user. Downloaded cydia, boss pref, and a bunch of themes. Used QikPwn to jailbreak and running 2.2.1 --3g iphone.
Not sure why but my original apple applications are working fine, cydia apps and themes are good, but when I try to run an appstore application, the load screen appears for that app and then it takes me home instead of loading. Anyone else experience this?
Thanks for your help. I've enjoyed the site and forums!

Is it just a couple of apps or is it every single one that you get form the app store? Some apps do crash frequently on the load screen. You can try restarting your iPhone. You can also download one of those free memory programs to free some space so you can run them. Not really sure how effective they are...you're best off just restarting

if they are cracked apps then they might not work...which is another reason not to use them

the apps may have not been updated for your firmware

    Default Fixed it
    Thanks for the responses.
My app store apps were the only ones messing up. My original apps (phone, mail, calculator, etc) worked fine and my broken apps (winter board, boss prefs, etc) worked fine. It was the ones that I purchased from the app store that were crashing (weather chan, notebook, etc)
Here is how I fixed it:
I hooked it up to the USB, let iTunes load, searched for updated firm - nothing. Then I clicked on the apps and searched for updates - nothing. Then I clicked on all of the apps that didn't work (I think it put them on my phone again or something??). I got frustrated, ejected the iphone, did a full power off, waited for 10 minutes and turned it back on.
    All was well. Everything works.

    Go figure.

    Thanks again for the replies.

Its a good idea to power off/power on your phone at least every day or two.

I have this happen every now and then. Why, i dont know. But powering off doesnt not fix it either.

What I do, Is I wiggle my apps and i delete/remove one of my appstore apps. After you delete it, go back to the AppStore and redownload it, and then all your AppStore apps function fine...

mine did it last night. I went to open facebook and it would crash (like every AppStore App).. So i deleted Pandora (AppStore App)... went and redownloaded it.. and then all my appstore apps work fine..

I dont know the cause of this though... .

sidenote: AppBackup on Cydia is a good app, it will store/retain your app settings so when u delete one you wont have to type in your user name and junk again. I recommend it..
