Best all in one IM app?
Um so which do you think is the best all in one IM application? Is there any other all in one IM application that allows you to turn on other applications and keep you signed on at the same time besides IM+?

Fring.
Beejive doesnt support VoIP.
Fring is the only all in one IM app. Over that, its FREE!
Also, Beejive is 16$, which is absolutely ridiculous. Honestly, its a complete waste of money.

No it's not. If you can afford it, Beejive is the IM app. The competition isn't even close. And the OP didn't ask or mentioned VOIP so I don't see the point of even bringing it up.
That's like saying Fring sucks because it can't let you control iTunes while Remote does that for free.

Ok, I bought beejive and it's great! I like it a lot more than IM+. IM+ takes forever to load my contact list. Anyways for beejive, is there any way to keep me signed on when my phone is idle? (Black screen) I sign off like say, 30 minutes later when my phone is idle.

Nobody said beejive sucked... and voip might be a feature that the OP (or someone else reading the post) might want and didn't think about. Jerk is right, not sure about the helpful part.
Bottom line is beejive keeps you logged in up to 24 hours of being idle. It STILL doesn't run in the background (like nothing else does, thanks Apple) unless you are running backgrounder. PUSH, in my opinion, is an unacceptable "compromise". If it is worth it for you to pay 15 bucks just to be logged on for 24 hours (and PUSH notifications I guess) then go for beejive. If not, fring is as good as any.Last edited by sziklassy; 01-04-2009 at 02:00 AM.

Exactly, I never did say that Beejive sucks.
I said its not worth 16$, and I stand by that statement.
I used Fring all day @ work (8 hours) with Backgrounder. It doesnt log me out or anything.
The only thing I like about Beejive is the interface, and I wouldn't pay 16$ for good looks. Maybe 5-7$, but definately not 16$.

It's all relative AND based on how much you use it. It is one of the most expensive apps on the appstore. Those who say it is expensive dont necessarily mean they can't afford 16 dollars on an APP, just that they feel that much money is too much to ask for said app. Not to mention the fact that if you don;t like it, you are still out 16 bucks...

Bee Jive is worth DUB any day of the week. ESPECIALLY with the new updates. If you are not willing to pay for Bee Jive, possibly the smoothest and most useful app on the iphone, then sell the damn phone to someone who will pop out a measly $16 to make it that much better than it is right now.
