NICE!!!!!!! I wonder if they built in secret codes like they did on the computer version. $9.99 isn't bad for endless hours of enjoyment.

The interface takes a while to get used to and it's a bit laggy (on my iPhone anyway) but all in all, a lot of fun. Can't wait for EA to release NFS then I'll be really happy! Still, Sim City is a great time waster.

I just got this last night, the interface is great and the game hasn't crashed for me yet. I think this is the most fully featured game so far for the app store. It really does seem like it was ported from the computer edition because almost no feature is missing.

for such a small platform to work on, this game is very close to the full PC version. Kudos to EA for such a great port!

excuse my ignorance, but as this is ported over, does that mean that we will (eventually) be able to use mods that are available for the pc version? I read a review that said the maps are small so maybe adding in bigger maps?

Could someone explain the game to me, I never played the PC version.
So I build my city, roads, zoning, etc. and then hit the play button?
Is that it? Then sit back and watch things happen?
What I missing? Doesn't seem all that exciting to me so far but I know I'm just not getting it.

Just play the tutorial, it should teach you some basics. You could try playing the PC version first because that has a much more extended tutorial, then try to play the iphone version.

I did the tutorial but all it did was show me how to set up the basic foot print of the city.

this might sound obvious, but basically you have to react to the RCI demands (Residential, Commerical Industry) there is a graph to show you the demands and where they stand (sometimes its negative)
I am RUBBISH at the game, but love it

Anyone having issues with it crashing??
-

Yup
mine crashes alot!!
I'm actually quite disappointed with it I'm noticing more options missing eg different road options highways etc and I'm also finding placing things very awkward I like that they have realised that and included the interface to move and resize zones roads etc but I've reinstalled the pc version!!

this has to be the most frustrating game to play on the iphone. although, it does make me want to install simcity on my computer...
