Game Apps downloaded from App store crashes when opened

I am having problems with the game apps i have downloaded from the app store. When i try to open a game, it starts up with the game's start screen and then crashes and reverts me back to my springboard. I have heard that it is due to my FW2.0.1, is this true? i have yet to try and reinstall these apps.

Just wondering if i should prepare myself and upgrade to FW 2.1 or possibly 2.2...

I have tried searching for answers in the search bar, but no definite answers.

Yeah, I would try uninstalling/reinstalling everything that doesn't work, but I believe a feature of the newer firmwares was less crashing, so if that doesn't work, I'd upgrade.

update: so i unintstalled, redownloaded it... works perfectly... think it's time to update to FW 2.2...

same problem here!!!can't able to run apps and games from appstore.i have a jalibroken iphone 3G working on the 2.2FW.can any one help me??????????

Guys, I guess you need to upgrade your firmwares, but do pay attention when you buy the apps in app store. Most of them are described clearly, they only combined with the V2.2.

i hope u guys r respring/restarting after u dl the apps, cuz it also prevents the app from crashing. hope u kno that

Backgrounder was making that happen to my apps, so I uninstalled it. Also as described above, turning the phone off and on again after installing apps helps.

Uninstalling and reinstalling an app usually gets it to work just fine, but 2.2 is so nice and smooth, upgrading would be your best bet...
