i need help

hi every one, i am extremely in need of help,
1. i can not update from 1.1.4 to 2.2, i tried but it locked goes on emergency calls only and for 2.2 it need the sim card by which it was registered and i dont know who registered it, i live in Pakistan, how can i update it without locking.

2. i downloaded and purchased applications to my itunes 8, but i cant transfer it to my iphone 1.1.4, there is no option, i couldnt find any option, how can i transfer these application to my iphone?

ok, for your first quiestion, you need to follow this guide

iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your 2.x.x 2G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows)

make sure you select the activate part so it can activat it for you

for question 2:

you have to have updates to 2.xx in order to use something you purchased on the apps store

and make sure not to forget to hit tha thanx button on my post

make sure you put your sim card first before the pawnage process
when asked, check to install Cydia and Unlock option

before all the process, should i update my iphone from 1.1.4 to 2.2 then the process follwoing process, or i should process it without updating, keep it in mind that when i update it will go to emergency calls only and will be locked and ask me to put the sim by which iphone was initially registered, plz clear

how can i know that my phone is 3g or 2g, i downloaded lot of things even the application i know nothing abt, now on the left corner near the name of connection provider there is a small 3G is written, is it really 3g or just due to lot of applications/software i downloaded, once again i have to ask that when i connect my phone to pc initially it asks for update 2.2, so should i update and when it locked n goes for emergency calls only then i should go for follwoing process:

or i shuld directly strat the process with my 1.1.4 version without updating?

If u upgraded from 1.4 to 2.2 just use Quickpwn 2.2 to fix ur problem then it'' be unlocked&jailbroken.If u now still on 1.4 just upgrade to 2.2 then use quickpwn 2.2.For itunes if u want to transfer ur purchased apps. just update ur itunes to 8.x version then u'll see the apps. trasfer button on rigt up side.Good luck...

a 2G iPhone is the first generation with a metal casing on the back
a 3G iPhone is the 2nd generation with a black plastic casing on the back.

dont update your iPhone using the legal firmware
download the appropriate 2.2 firmware found on the iClarified guide.
make sure you insert your sim before anything else.
press Shift and then hit Restore on iTunes to update your iPhone
this isnt the unlock/jailbreak process yet
follow the instructions
and make sure you check the option to Install Cydia
and to Unlock your phone.

just read the iClarified tutorial
it should be easy.
