WinAdmin help

So this question may have been asked before but i didn't not find the answer by searching here or google. So here is the deal, i have WinAdmin and am trying to set it up on my pc. Ive enabled RDC on my vista machine, I also forwarded RDC port in my router. I have tried using my local ip (my computer) to configure winadmin and also my isp ip and nothing will work. Any suggestions? BTW my pc is password protected.

Thanks!

Do you have a firewall running(Zonealarm, Comodo)? What about Windows Vista Firewall setting?

Same exact situation for me. Also I tried remote desktop on the other computer on my local LAN and it worked fine (it is also running vista).
Also I did do this part of the set up (I have went over the configuration many times)

Thanks for any help!

edit: I am running a dual screen set up, if that effects it any [2 x 1680x1050] and running the current version of vista and all my driver are up to date.

Hijackthis scan

Hopefully we will get some good news then, i originally emailed them and they basically told me to do everything that i stated in the first post. They even said to go to portforword.com for the router part. That said it makes me a little upset that i paid good money for there product and they don't even have a full tut on setup with different operating systems.

WinAdmin is ****

@yoshi9769
Did you do this part: http://www.mydigitallife.us/WinAdmin...20settings.jpg
(you didn't state it in any post so I thought I would ask

edit: just found a post on another forum by you stating you did that (still looking through google for an answer :/ )

I provided all the information about my computer that I could think of, even a hijack this scan. Also I even gave them a link to this forum with someone having the same difficulties. Told them all that I have tried and also told them RD worked on a pc on the LAN to this one.

He told me that the configuration I used on the other computer should be the same (Oh really!!??! I would think the ip would be different)

I replied back giving more information about my setup and what I should try

He told me this BS "WinAdmin uses RDP 5.2, Vista supports from RDP 5.2 up to 6.x."

So yea I wasted $10 on this POS and like 5 hours
But reading the reviews people have it working on vista

I don't know what to do at this point, im probably not going to dl any other RDC app just because i don't want the hassle. Maybe its has something to do with Vista Ultimate? Or My DD-WRT Firmware on my router. Are you using any of those?

I'm running tomato. I thought about it being that, but the fact that I can access it on remote desktop on the other computer on the LAN makes me think other wise.

Wow I am wasting so much time on this, need to do a ton of homework too XO

I realized that port 3389 isn't even open on my computer or listening (could not find out on google how to fix this)
Link about how to find out

At least we are getting somewere :/

Yeah i was able to access my computer from my phone on my wifi by putting the static ip in (LAN side) but when trying my actual ip it dose not work. It would sure help if WinAdmin had a decent site with a forum so we could talk with others that have there product. Oh well, guess ill just hope for the best!

@yoshi9769 what's your screen resolution maybe that is the reason I can't connect. Since Remote desktop is working and I have connected to it with a computer on the LAN.
I don't see any info about dual screens so it could be that also.
Here: [2 x 1680x1050]

Edit: > "Dual Monitor Support in Remote Desktop Connections Client v6!"
WinAdmin is 5.2...... yea
The customer support retard should have known this, but given all customer support blows generally it's my bad for wasting my time on him.

edit: Contacting apple about a refund, since the app did not stat what RDP version they are using and that it doesn't support dual screens.
edit: got it back
