Install the same app twice on the same iPhone?

Hey guys. Awesome site and great information - thanks a lot!

I searched and looked around specifically for the answer to the following question and couldn't find it, so I am posting it here.

I have an iPhone 3G, 2.1 jailbroke. I can ssh into it and all that.

I want to install the same app (Yammer) on the phone twice. Is it possible? How to? I need one for each work... Sounds odd, but can I install the same app twice?

Can I just copy the installed folder? What else needs to be modded? I assume there are some app settings stored somewhere else I also need to adjust.

Thanks for any insight!

Looks like someone wanted to spam his blog some.

Why 2 of the same apps?

it should also work to make a copy of the ipa, edit the bundleIdentifier and the display name in the Info.plist and then syncing it with iTunes Haven't tried it though

I have not heard of such thing earlier. Same app twice in same phone? Why? Does that allow any extra facilities? I am curious.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply and blog post. That was perfect. Write it up and record it. What more could I ask for?

Also love TWIT as long as Patrick isn't on breathing into the mic constantly. Thanks for that.
