I watch a ton of hockey, at the minimum 8 games a week. It seems Apple likes to advertise during the games.

Saw the advertisement for Shazam, popped onto iteunes and down loaded it.

Out at the bar the other night we got into a heated battl on who was singing a song. I whip out the iphone hold it near the speaker and woolaa, argument over.

Its a pretty cool app and seems to identify about 90+% of the songs correctly.

Although it doesn't seem to id pink floyd accurately.

Cool app and I beleive its free.

Its a EXCELLENT app indeed! I just love it! When ever I wanted to know a song I had to call my sister but not anymore! I could not live without it.....

i cant seem to find it it turned out to be in an unsupported country for this app is there anyway i can get it?

Well over 1.5 million iPhone owners agree that it is great. Shazam had a press release on 9/25 saying they had already topped 1.5 million downloads. I personally love using it...

I use Shazam frequently and every single song it has identified so far has being 100% accurate. I also love that in most songs you can go directly to iTunes and purchase the song or watch the video on YouTube. However, there was a song once to which the YouTube video did not much. The song was by Eddi Santiago (Salsa) and the video was of a guy playing dumb. Overall, I really love this app.

I take it you havnt looked up that many songs or many of the new ones. I do love the program but it misses quite a bit for me.

Right now id rate it around 7.5-10

I wonder if there is a way to use this audio recognition to auto tag mp3's?

Like let a program listen to your songs and then auto tag them.

There is a program for that...But it's only for the PC...It's called Winamp, it has an auto-tag feature where it analyzes a song, and fetches the info through Grease-Note...I'm pretty sure a lot of people know Winamp...

I didnt know that. I wonder if it will work on foreign songs the way Shazam does.
