I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

will stick with palringo its free and does what its supposed to do
beejive, used it in the past but wouldnt pay that sort of cash for an app when i can get one that does identical for free
sayin that am gonna try it in a moment just to see if its worth the asking price

palringo´s UI is uglier (i think) and beejive seems fastr, but has less features, no smilies, no multimedia transfers, and probably more.
beejive lets you chose an email (that suports push) to send you notifications when you get an offline message (or so it says )

It's worth the 16 bucks in my opinion.

It's much better than all other IM clients. The UI is awesome!

I'll stick with free Palringo. $16 is too much for a IM app.

To Compare Palringo and Beejive (Quick Comparison)
Beejive keeps you connected 24/7
Palringo keeps you connected 15 minutes (but is increasing over time)
Beejive allows you to see buddy icons
Beejive is faster and less slugish
Palringo has Emoticons and allows you to send voice and pictures
Beejive will have Emoticons in its next update
Chatting is so much easier and faster on beejive more intuitive and has a lot more options to customize your needs in the settings
Also in Beejive you can set your own display pic
Add and delete buddies, move your friends from different categories
So overall I will have to give the nod to Beejive 24/7 connection is awesome no matter what you got peice of mind when you open your chat client you will receive all your messages instantly where palringo it can be hit and miss. Though Palringo is a great free chat client and one I still keep on my iphone but Beejive is the winner for me and you know updates will keep coming out to keep making it even better.

how do you stay connected 24/7 ?

16 bucks..WORTH IT!!!!
I have a unlimited text plan.. So when someone hits me a message on MSN.. Notification right away. and it opens RIGHT AWAY!!!
I know in due time someone will make something better or on par.. But as it stands right now.. NONE.. and MEAN NONE!!! compare
And as soon as apple opens that push tech.. (GOD KNOW WHEN THAT WILL HAPPEN)
It will be on point!!
A great buy if you like to stay in touch..

will it stay on if someone called in?
thks

I don't think so.
No AppStore apps are allowed to do anything if they aren't the main program loaded.
When someone calls, MobilePhone app is loaded.

Positive:
I'm going to buy it tomorrow, simply because of prior experience with it. (And because they seem to have come as close to push as they possibly could without apples push capabilities.)
Negative:
-They took off the free web version, which, while it may be a good business decision, didn't make me happy.
-They reneged on their promise to provide the application for free to people who bought the blackberry version (Though understandably, it's not their fault(app store fail)).
