I just upgraded from the original iphone to the 3g, and am on my laptop for a week. My original iphone is linked to my computer at school, but I thought that the Apps you bought were linked to your account, so is there any way to get my apps onto my new phone before going back to school?

Go to the computer at school and capture your apps screen.... then hook up your phone to your laptop and re-download them...

thats like 6 hours away :-\
Its not a huge deal if there is no way, but I was under the impression that they were linked to my account, not my pc...so shouldnt I be able to get them through itunes on this laptop?

You can (i Think) authorize up to 5 computers at a time with your account and it should leave the apps alone. However, the authorizations are permanent until you say otherwise so make sure to de-authorize any computer you don't own.
PS: this ALSO counts when you wipe/reformat a computer!

Did you buy your apps? Or are they free ones? If you bought them or got free ones itunes always sent out a receipt through email of what you downloaded free or not.... do you have the email messages still?
