Create a symlink to your dtunes seeqpod download path using ssh and then when you turn Air Sharing on, you can browse your seeqpod downloads and subsequently import them into your itunes library to be re-synced properly back onto your device.
I cd'd to the Documents folder of Air Sharing's installed path and did a: ln -s /var/mobile/Library/Downloads seeqpod
Now when I browse http://iphonename.local:8080 on My Network places in Windows, I can go into the seeqpod folder and grab my stuff.
Enjoy!iPhone 3GS 16GB 3.0fw White + Jailbroken

Air Sharing symlink
When I tried to symlink /var/mobile/Library/Downloads/ to documents folder in Air Sharing it shows up as a unknown document in the Air Sharing app. Has anyone else tried this?

Thanks! I had to do some research but need a few more peices to make it work.
I found symlink info: (yes I'm a Linux newbie)
Symbolic link - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
-I have dtunes, (love it)
http://www.modmyi.com/forums/news/33...-but-free.html
-SSH, I setup via Cydia home page instructions, for windows I use WinSCP
WinSCP :: Free SFTP and FTP client for Windows
(works great, can transfer files, and open a terminal window etc)
Where is the Air Sharing's install path?
I found the applications folder where all the jailbreak apps go, but I'm assuming the appstore location is elsewhere. I'm learning fast but just need that final bit. thanks

This app is useless for jailbroken iphones. We already have something called Open SSH.

not quite, it's pretty helpful. I use SSH too but air share makes it nice because:
1) makes it so you can quickly connect and transfer files if you are at a friends computer too.
2) we can drag and drop mp3 files downloaded via "d"tunes to be imported to itunes library easily
3) It dummy proofs everything a bit more for people that dont want to bother with the whole SSH install/setup/password thing

I'm not sure how safe dtunes is. It searches for mp3's on the net.. and you could end up downloading a corrupt mp3 that might mess up your iphone. You never know.

Are you familiar with the MacOS?
Its really not that fragile when it comes to things like this.
dTunes is safe, and a corrupt mp3 just will end abruptly or not even play, so you're safe
As for my symlink, I've got it going to Datacase. I like Airshare, thought I'd download it anyway incase they add better features that Datacase down the line

its simple and gives you great way to share files without giving too much info away to friends to ssh into your device
