If I'm understanding you, you're claiming that there is always an extra, empty screen while in "wobbly icons" mode. I've noticed that since firmware 1.1.4. The extra screen goes away when you exit the wobbly icon mode.

Yes, and the tiny little icon which appears and then disappears... do you see the little icon next to the bubbles one. I want to know what's up with that.

Are you referring to the little 'X' on top of all the apps you installed?
You can click the 'X' to remove the program from your phone.....

NO!!! look at the picture and see the small little app in the top left hand corner. What is it?

I could be wrong, but it just looks like someone is installing a program from the app store while there are in 'wobbly icons' mode....

The icon is alot smaller and disappears. It appears for a second and then disappears although I'm not downloading it. The lads at iPod Touch Fans Forum recognise it as a legitimate bug.

That's odd. Never seen that or experienced that before.

I have had the exact same problem when installing cube runner. It's when it doesn't finish installing. You have to reinstall the program that is what fixed it for me.
