MobileChat is in the App Store!!
Hey,
Well it is the same MobileChat we have seen before, but much better!! Right now, they are having a few server issues because of the enormous rush for this app, but everything should be up and running within a few days. Once I get online, I will post a good amount of screenshots. For updates and a walkthrough, check out twenty08.com

well I bought it and since their servers are too busy, I'm unable to log-in. However, the interface is very slick. Looks to be a good app and I'm impressed they have 'push' notifications via SMS/Email for some IM services.

hasnt anyone figured out how to enable sleep mode for applications? i know apple has disabled it but im sure that if dev team can make pwnage that someone can enable a sleep option.

yup just downloaded but servers are over loaded
go into itunes and search for mobilechat.

Saw the demo video and I'm very impressed. I won't buy just yet since I'm really waiting on push notifications before pulling the trigger and Palringo does the job for now, but this looks to be THE app to get for IMs.
I'm a helpful jerk, fear me.

Currently, I still have not been able to sign on, but I have faith in these guys. This is finally a solution to everyone who couldn't get MMS to work. I will be patiently waiting...

from the description, it looks like it uses data, which it should. and only the notifications should cost you an SMS. if it works like munduIM (which is the one i use) it will use just data. if that is the case, i will buy it after it becomes more stable. Originally Posted by polishdemon

*has purchased the app* I can't wait to use it, also to those throwing around the "free" issue, you've used the damn app for well over 1yr! 3 dollars won't break your bank for something that has some use (drink water for 3 days rather than buying soda or juice and you got your funds).

I was finally able to use this app today, I am quite impressed. It is great.
Landscape mode is quite smooth, as is the rest of the app. Definitely worth $3, especially once Push is released.
Eat a homecooked meal instead of McDonalds for 1 meal and you're good to go. Definitely worth it.wwjd
