How to uinstall iphone 1gen 2.0 applicatons

HI
I have bought and downloaded lots of applications with itunes. Some of them I want to uninstall them, I delete them from itunes, but when I plug the iphone, it doesnt uninstall them from the device.

I also tried tapping into AppStore, and I didnt see any option to uninstall.

How can I uninstall unwanted applications?

hold your finger on an app until it shakes like if you were to move apps around then a black X should be at the top right of your installed apps. tap the top right and itll prompt you for a delete =]

Does it really uninstall the application? or just remove the icon?

It really uninstalls the app, unless you go into the AppStore and redownload, its uninstalled.
