Control on an apple TV is limited, it has resonable functionality of itunes through ATV but everything else needs the original remote to move around. One good thing is when searching for a movie when you click on the search box you can then use the iphone to type instead of the cursor to select characters this saves a lot of hassleEric's iPhone 4 4.01 offically unlocked

Disclaimer: I have searched the forums before I posted this question.
Is there an app that enables you to listen to your laptop library on your iPhone? Say I want to plug my iPhone into my living room stereo and pull the shared library from my laptop or desktop? This would be a great app if there isn't one.
Thanks in advanced!

@ mctwisty - Well, if you have a Mac, theres this application called Telekinesis or iPhone Remote (don't remember much) which lets you do that. It basically works like VNC, but lets you play music and stuff through your phone.

Thanks for the info. This is cool, but you can't have a continued playlist going, in order to listen to another song once the first is done playing you have to navigate back to the music folder via safari and choose another tune. I am certain somebody is developing an application as we speak that will solve this problem.
