Comparing AppStore Apps to Regular Apps.

Ok, not to start a big argument, but I am just trying to point something out.

Do you guys think about how many people try to get Computer Applications for free? I know they cost more then an App in the AppStore, but honestly, it is just the fact of not having to pay for it. I know thousands of people dont pay for Photoshop, which is expensive, but it is just the fact that they dont have to pay for it. There is almost a patch, keygen, or serial for every application out there. I am sure you have a few on your computer.. Maybe you use limewire to get your music? Well, in the words of everybody here, you should just go pay for it.

I know Computer Applications are on a complete different scale money wise, but people just want stuff for free. Why not save the few extra dollars? That is what is on everybodys mind. By the time they get some apps, they could have bought groceries for the next week...

It's just how people are. So, instead of going to every thread and telling them to stop being lazy and paying for them, why dont you just ignore them? I am sure if they came out with hacked appstore apps, you wouldnt go pay for it. You would go and download it so you wouldnt have to pay for it.

Just throwing that out there, love to see some replies on this..

With the amount of legal, free alternatives to most programs people use it amazes me how people still pirate like its the hot thing to do. Photoshop for example, you have Gimp and Aviary who are just as good for what most people end up using photoshop for.

Gimp doesn't even compare to photoshop though.

I have a few 'free' apps on my computer. But i think begging on a public forum for cracked software or asking for keygens displays bad judgement, a lack of class and a lack of self-awareness.

I think the reason they ask is becouse they don't know how to search for it.
I will never pay for an computer app, firstly becouse they are expensive, virtual, rarely on a computer so no trial versions cus the day I need it the trials over.

Most of them aren't begging for the apps..

They are asking if they will be made and stuff because they dont know that there is some already out there.. supposedly.. I havent seen any yet.

Trentj, i agree. I have had my share of "free" apps and i have a few for my iphone.. Anyway, I would like to pay for them, its just I don't have the money, and for a person of my age..its hard to obtain any cash to buy anything. I have gotten caught getting a program and I learned my lesson. So i pretty much stopped, but a few times i get those urges to get something >.< I guess once you do it once, you just can help but do it again. This probably goes the same for everyone else who has done this. But hey, just because I do this doesn't make me a bad person..or at least i dont think it does.

I'm in the same boat as Aiyo. I have plenty of these "free" apps. I'm only 16 and not on a high salary. So my money is low so i cant be spending $800 on Photoshop and such which are priced at ridiculously high prices...
I also have free apps on my phone... I don't have a credit card so it makes it hard to actually purchase apps. But I donate on the occasion to those who's apps are particularly good.
I use limewire and I torrentz. But have never been caught... I don't feel ashamed, but I think its my business and if I get caught I will learn my lesson. But I sure don't beg, I find them my self or ask a friend that might have done it... But I don't wave it around saying "LOOK WHAT I HAVE. LOOK WHAT I HAVE..."

I will most likely get the free versions of AppStore apps if they become available.

When it comes to music, movies, etc, I will only buy it if I REALLY like it. Otherwise, it's just not worth it to me. I think people value music and movies way to high. That's why it's nice to find services like Hulu.com and apps like Peerguardian ;D

No matter how much it costs, or even if it's free, people are gonna complain. Like you said, "It's just how people are."

Maybe you can take all that money that you're saving by pirating apps and buy an English lesson
