I'm not sure if anyone has discussed this yet, but are people planning on hacking the costly apps and releasing them free when installer is available on 2.0? I just figured people hack all kinds of software and spread them around through torrents, or simply distributing serial numbers. Curious if there will be a pirating community for iPhone apps.

Hey "bbplayer5" Where can we get these $2 dollar apps you talk about?
I certainly don't want to cheap. Do some research before you run your mouth.

Some of them may be worth the money, but many definitely aren't. Some should have probably come with the phone.
I've noticed that many of the old developers are putting their software for sale, when a week ago they were offering the same software for free via Installer. I understand they're trying to sell to the people that don't jailbreak, but I'd like to know if they'll make it available on Installer as well.
If they are already available, does that mean you installed them onto a 1.1.4 phone? Just curious. Either way, I would wait for the 2.0 jailbreak.

Wow...what a discussion. I agree some apps are priced to high, however its like anything else, I think some cars are priced to high, so on and so forth.
Theres alot of time and effort in development going into these apps (well, some are just crappy) and if any one of us could write the code.....truthfully, how many of you would offer your stuff for free, knowing you could charge?
