iTunes giftcard in AppStore?

Does this work? I would assume it does.. but I want to buy some apps and my parents dont want me using there credit card right now so I wanted to know if you can use an iTunes giftcard in it because I can go buy one of those..

I actually dont think it works I have .75 credit on itunes and it didnt put it towards my apps

It does, first it didn't charge me for the app then when I went to the iTunes store on my mac and tried to buy a song it says my balance was incorrect and asked for my password. After I relogged in the charge for the app was subtracted from my balance

It worked perfectly fine for me. I had a $15 gift card and I used it to buy the Poker game. Still looking to see what other apps to spend the rest on...
