reeko, you are crazy as hell! ( Is that profanity on this site? ) That was the first thing I thought of after I watched the tut video. I have some studio headphones I was thinking about doing that with. I would feel funny wearing them and walking around having a conversation with them though. Those aren't too big for you???
I would have my URL here so you could hear our music but apparently that's sig spam. WTF?

for listening to music its fine, its a bit weird to start, only way to compare it is like when you first wear your new sunglasses or first get a new haircut, but after a while you forget. ive worn them walking round the centre of london, its cool.
as for being on the phone, i lift one of them up above my ear so i can hear myself, otherwise i think im shouting, although i don't know because i cant really hear myself.
for quality, these kick any little ear buds ***.The Original Autobot of MMiJesus couldn't turn into a fire engine

Just finished my Skullcandy Ink'd... My mic still works beautifully... So much better now that the earbuds do too!

Would this soldering iron be sufficient to complete this mod? I don't know much about wiring, but I can afford to burn out a few Marshmellows to get this trick to work. Also, is using the iron as easy as it is in the video? It looks like the guy barely touched the wires.

i was the original autobot! seen a few people with that now....
honestly, this isnt a hard mod. the hardest bit of the whole thing is taking your new headphones apart without ruining them. The Original Autobot of MMiJesus couldn't turn into a fire engine

Well in my defense, I liked Transformers before the new movie. I also liked Iron Man too. I'm waiting for a Green Lantern movie....
And did you have to go change your sig? :]
Back on topic:
Could someone describe how exactly soldering works? I know it melts the metal, but how do I know when or where to put the iron to make this happen?Last edited by SharpieBandit; 10-07-2008 at 06:09 PM.
